Handmade gifts for Valentine’s Day
America’s largest arts and crafts specialty store Michael Stores revealed in its recent survey that handmade gifts are gaining popularity in the country as evidenced with the spike in its sales for the second year in the row.
According to the survey, about 87 percent of the respondents believe that giving handmade gifts to their loved ones are more meaningful than those that can easily be brought from stores. By buying the materials at the Michael Stores, the customers get the chance to come up with unique gifts. For men, this is a particularly creative gesture especially if they are finding gifts for women who already have everything.
Michaels Executive Vice President of Category Management Philo Pappas said that the customers have told them that making the gifts for their loved ones beats even the most expensive gadgets in stores. It’s the thought and the effort that count after all.
If all that fails just buy her some lingerie.
