Facebook & Amazon join forces to provide new ways to come up with gifts ideas

A new service created by social networking giant Facebook and retailer Amazon may be the answer to every man’s longing to give the best gift possible to the special women in their lives. According to the press release, the service can recommend the right products for the users by checking out the Facebook profiles of the recipients.
This service was launched in beta version earlier this month. However, this is not an automatic feature for all users; it’ll be another application that will have to be accepted first. Basically, the service will give tailored suggestions in terms of gifts for your friends based on their interests, like favorite music, books, movies, etc.
It has been noted that more users are being open honest about their personal information and data in Facebook than in other mediums, which means that the interests they’ve specified in their profiles are most likely be true. This would mean presents that are better suited to the lucky recipient and then everyone is happy!
