You are probably stumped when it comes to buying wedding gifts you’re your soon-to-be married friends. It is of course embarrassing when you find out after the wedding that the couple had to give away your gift because they could not use it –or worse – they simply just don’t like it. Now, giving gifts for her or for the husband should not be this stressful. Just consider these tips and you are good to go:

• Come up with a group gift: If you happen to have friends joining the wedding the ceremony, you could plan together – chip in – and buy a more expensive gift. This way, your group can come up with a memorable gift for her without shelling as much money. It’s not about quantity but quality.

• Personalize your gift: This is less expensive but has a lot of your efforts attached to it. How about researching on great cookbook recipes that would surely spice up the married life of your friend.

• Shop in advance: As your friends who also friends with the couple beforehand so that you’ll have an idea what gifts they preferred. Buying early means discounts on items.

• Check out the couple’s registry for items they’d prefer getting. If you are close to the bride maybe consider buying bridal lingerie.

• Give a gift card: This is a great “last resort” gift since you are now giving the couple the opportunity to buy what they really want by giving them a gift card.
