University of Texas receives $16.8 million in gifts
Sixteen philanthropic gifts totaling about $16.8 million will go to the University of Texas at Dallas which will support faculty chairs and graduate student fellowship. Part of the gifts will also go for university research programs.
The gifts will greatly benefit the men and women of the university. Another good news was revealed by University President David Daniel. He revealed that the Texas Research Incentive Program, an enactive program by the legislature, will be matching the funds thus increasing the overall gift amount to $31.6 million.
Daniel, in behalf of the students, faculty and staff, expressed his gratitude to those who donated, most who opted to remain anonymous.
Other universities getting support from the incentive program are University of Texas at San Antonio, University of Texas at El Paso, University of North Texas, Texas Tech, University of Houston and University of Texas at Arlington.
