According to the National Retail Federation’s Top Toys survey for 2009, video game systems and dolls are still considered popular items for kids and they will be anticipating these gifts for this Christmas. Making waves this time is the Zhu Zhu interactive toy hamster that’s been selling like hotcakes at $7.99 a piece.
As for the women, they wouldn’t say no to the clothing, blu-ray disc players, flat screen televisions and even the Zhu Zhu hamsters. Gadgets are still famous among the ladies. It wouldn’t hurt to include some flowers and chocolates among these seemingly impersonal items.
NRF stated that the addition of new items before the Christmas season has led to sudden changes in budgeting plans.
