Hermes unable to meet strong demand for fashion handbags
One of the well known luxury fashion houses apparently has a dilemma. Quite an interesting one, in fact. Hermès, one of the oldest luxury fashion houses from France, is apparently having a difficult time meeting the strong demand for their fashion handbags as well as stylish silk scarves.
Hermes fashion handbags are just some of the world’s most recognized and not to mention most expensive handbags.
According to reports, the demand for Hermes silk scarves as well as fashion handbags is so strong that the said luxury company is having a difficult time meeting it. The company has declared a 50% jump in the profits for the first six months of the year. Its famed Kelly and Birkin handbags are witnessing unprecedented demand in the US and Japan.
Hermes CEO Patrick Thomas says he’s worried and has already stepped up and done various measures in order to meet the growing demand for their fashion handbags and silk scarves. Thomas said that the company has hired 400 new employees to give production its much needed boost. Hermes will also reportedly open 10 new stores.
Hermes is best known for their popular fashion handbags named Jane Birkin and Grace Kelly. The prices for their bags start at $10,000 but can go up to $150,000.
